There are many scenic places in Satara area like Kas Plateau, Toseghar Waterfall. Satara district has gone to the world stage because of the Kas plateau and its rare flora. The Toseghar waterfall, which bears the meaning of Samarth Ramdas Swami's lines "Dhababa Adale Toi", is another scenic spot in this area near Sajjangad. Located at a distance of 18 km from Satara city, this waterfall in the Toseghar area has become a center of attraction for monsoon tourists for the past few years. This waterfall is located near the source of the river Tarli near the border of Toseghar and Chalkewadi villages and falls from a height of approx.500 feet. The Toseghar waterfall which jumps down the valley with great speed has become a favorite of everyone. The experience of seeing the beauty of nature in a few steps while soaking in the rain and in the cool breeze takes the tourists to a different world.

There are total three streams of the waterfall and two observation bastions have been constructed by the forest department to view it. The forest department has now built an observation tower to allow the tourists to see the waterfall properly. Many accidents have happened on the way. One has to pay five rupees per person to see the picturesque waterfall of Toseghar. This entry fee is levied not by the forest department but by the local forest management committee. This committee has appointed volunteers near the waterfall to prevent accidents. This is necessary for our safety. There are many options to reach Satara city such as ST bus train and private vehicle and from Rajwada station in Satara ST is available to go to Thoseghar. Sajjangad, Chalkewadi wind power plant near Toseghar waterfall are also must-see places, so a great day trip can be organized by private vehicle.
