Although some of the ground forts in Maharashtra have been completely destroyed in the course of time due to the increasing population but some of the ground forts still stand as a remnant. Nasirabad is the ground fort that tells its existence by maintaining one such dilapidated bastion. Nasirabad city is just 10 km away from Jalgaon city. Nasirabad ground fort, which was once a proper fort or fortress in this village, is completely destroyed today and its only bastion is left in front of the village's telecommunication center. Built in brick, this bastion bears witness to the medieval construction. This bastion is completely collapsed today and is a companion of short time. As no other remains of the fort remain, nothing can be surmised. 5 minutes is enough to see this bastion of the fort.

Apart from this, a newly built door can be seen at the gate of the village. No other information is available about the fort. Durgojirao Bhoite received Jalgaon, Nasirabad and nearby provinces as Jahagir from Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaja. The city of Jalgaon was founded by the Maratha Sardar Tulajirao Bhoite. Nasirabad fort may have been built during this period. The Bhoite’s remained the rulers of this area for a long time. The old mansion (wada) built by him at Jalgaon is known as “Bhoite Gadi”.
