After seeing the fortress of Dondai in Dhule district and going to see the fort in Ranjane, after crossing the village of Bamane-Dhamane, Chilane village comes. While passing through this village, a small two-towered structure with a somewhat derelict wall by the side of the road catches our attention and compels us to stop for a moment. This building with two bastions and ramparts on the side of the road is mansion (wada) of Dadasaheb Bhone. Built in the recent times, this building has nothing to do with history. Deliberately mentioning this structure here as we were stopped by to see it for some time. Seeing this building one can say that, one does not preserve what is already there instead build something like it which is not even related to history. As the entire wall of this fort-like structure is visible from the road, there is no need to go inside it. ... When investigated about this building, it is informed that it is a mansion (wada) built by Dadasaheb Bhone in recent times. This building is mentioned here as an easily visible fort-like structure in Chilane village of Sindkhed taluka of Dhule district.
