Many forts on the hilltop of the Sahyadri range still exist for the sake of the name. Bhorgad in Dindori taluka of Nashik district is one such fort under the control of the Army. Due to the radar system of the security forces on the fort, access to the fort is completely prohibited for security purposes. When the radar system was installed on the top of the fort, it was completely leveled and the remains of the fort were destroyed and only the hill of the fort remains. The hill of Bhorgad fort is at a distance of 15 km from Nashik. One can see the hill of this fort on the way from Ashewadi to Rasewadi or Dehergad.
